Sorry folks but this ain’t a snatch. Coming up with the arm straight out in front of you is an excellent way to destroy your shoulder when you progress past the pink dumbbells. But don’t take my word for it please look up videos for either “dumbbell” or ” barbell” snatch and see for yourself. It’s important to learn proper form particularly for Olympic lifts and yes this is one of them even if it starts with a 5 or 8 pounder.

@AngemonRulez oldest substitute in the world is a water bottle filled with water or sand/earth if you want more weight.. a bottle that’s slimmer in the center offers of course an easier tighter grip.
i love doing this in my own workouts…its def tough and a great exercise…

I can feel it in my thighs. I don’t have a dumbbell at my side, so I used my wireless computer mouse to simulate.
I will find something to substitute it though.
